Lawrence Isaiah Morris
A life of service. A record of results. A vision for every American.
Lawrence Isaiah Morris
Candidate for President of the United States, 2026
I am a man of God. I will use my influence every day to represent the voices of everyday Americans — as well as our brothers and sisters around Mother Earth. I will advocate for policies that fix real problems. I will not and cannot be bought.
Lawrence Isaiah Morris was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio — the son of a steelworker and a schoolteacher. He grew up understanding what it means to work hard, to sacrifice, and to believe that tomorrow can be better than today. That belief has driven every chapter of his life.
After graduating with honors from Ohio State University, Morris earned his law degree from Howard University School of Law, where he developed a lifelong commitment to justice, equity, and the rule of law. He returned home to Columbus to practice civil rights law, representing working families, veterans, and communities that had been left behind by a system that too often favored the powerful over the people.
His record of public service spans two decades. As a city councilman, he championed affordable housing and small business investment. As a U.S. Congressman representing Ohio's 3rd District, he authored landmark legislation on workforce development, veterans' healthcare, and rural broadband access — bills that passed with bipartisan support because Morris has always believed that good ideas don't belong to one party.
